HOW DOES IT WORKS
Specialized pulses target brown spots, sun damage and vessels without harming the surrounding skin. The light delivered to your skin causes them to slowly disappear through your body’s natural healing process.

The number of sessions required varies per client and depends on a variety of factors, such as hormones, pre-existing skin damage, age, etc.

What causes unwanted pigment?
Melanin gives us our skin color. Pigmented lesions including sunspots, age spots, and brown patches, are dark in color because the melanin is concentrated in one area of the skin. Most pigmented lesions come from sun exposure while some patients are born with them. Hormonal changes can also induce pigment changes in the skin.
What types of pigmented lesions can Revlite™ remove?
Lasers remove a variety of unwanted pigment. Melasma, age spots, freckles, and brown patches can all be treated with Revlite. During a free consultation, your practitioner will put together a treatment regime to help you address your pigment concerns.
How many treatment sessions will it take?
To improve the look of your skin and achieve a more youthful appearance by removing pigmented lesions will typically require only a few treatments. Darker, deeper and larger pigmented lesions may require additional treatments; however during the consultation, your practitioner will discuss treatment expectations with you.
What does the treatment feel like?
Most patients find the procedure tolerable and require no numbing cream or anesthesia. Revlite™ delivers energy in ultra-short bursts, and patients often compare the laser pulse to a snap of a thin rubber band.
What type of post treatment care is necessary?
After the procedure, the treatment area may be tender. It is important to keep the area clean and to avoid any irritation. Your practitioner will provide additional after care instructions as needed to ensure a quick recovery.
Pre Treatment Preparation
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure within six to eight weeks of treatment including the use of tanning beds or self-tanning products, such as creams, lotions and spray.
- Discontinue use of retinols and other retinoids including Retin A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac etc. For low concentrations of retinols discontinue use for 3-5 days, for stronger concentrations (1% and up) discontinue use for 1-2 weeks minimum.
- Refrain from any medium or deep chemical peels/ resurfacing treatments for 2 weeks before treatment.
Post Treatment Guidelines
- Wash the treatment area gently with soap and water. Do not soak.
- Do not shave the treated area if crusting is evident.
- Avoid contact sports or any other activity that could cause injury to the treated area.
- Avoid sun exposure, including tanning beds 4-6 weeks before and after treatment.
- If sun exposure is unavoidable, use a SPF 45+ sunblock to protect exposed, treated areas. Avoid the use of tanning products, such as creams, lotions and sprays prior to treatment.
- Use cold gel packs until heat dissipates.
- Keep area moist with thin layer of ointment such as Aquaphor® (or doctor’s choice).
Carbon Laser Facial
The carbon laser peel/facial treatment is a minimally invasive skin resurfacing treatment that is completely painless with minimal to zero downtime. The treatment provides instant results and treats skin concerns such as acne, pigmentation, enlarged pores, dull skin, blackheads, fine lines and wrinkles and overall appearance of the skin. The treatment is safe and effective for all skin types!
How does the treatment work?
First activated carbon lotion is applied all over the treatment area. Activated carbon is known for its purification and detoxification properties. As the carbon dries it will bond with any dirt, oil and bacteria on the surface of the skin. The carbon particles are then broken down by a short pulse Q-switched laser and are then absorbed and destroyed along with the dead skin cells, oil and bacteria that were bound to the carbon. This process deeply exfoliates this skin by removing dirt and impurities and brings new, healthy glowing skin cells to the surface.

How many sessions will I need?
You will see a significant difference after one treatment. The treatment can be done 1-2 times a month and multiple treatments can improve collagen production, reduce oil production and reduce uneven skin tone.
